Winemaker Joao Roseira brings much more depth and subtlety to his Ruby Port bottling than what usual in this genre. The grapes from the steep hillside vineyards are hand-harvested, and he makes his Ports drier than usual, labeling them "medium dry," because he feels this allows the complex nuances of flavor to come through more vividly. Here you'll find a cornucopia of dark berries, with overtones of very dark chocolate.
